Vynd named decollate as the Ing word at Sat, 03 Oct 1998 20:20:55 -0400.

One player provided a correct definition, the list of 12 definitions was published at Wed, 07 Oct 1998 00:11:26 -0400:

1. A revealing blouse.
2. To be sad to an extreme.
3. To separate groups of sequentially ordered items into another order, such as sorting them into groups of like items, or arranging them randomly.

12. Randomize.

The results of the round were announced at Mon, 12 Oct 1998 00:03:11 -0400:

The correct definition is 10: Behead. JT submitted the correct definiton, and recieves 4 points (I recieve none).
The definitions submited by risE (6. Chinese interior design.), Studge (1. A revealing blouse), Altra the Firecat (2. To be sad to an extreme), and Slakko (4. To seperate a group of objects) all recieved no votes at all. Not a single one. Cooincidentally, none of the players involved recieve any points. Perhaps not so cooincidentally, risE's and Stidge's definitions were not the correct part of speech.
Rambo R. Minuteman's definition, 6. Of low quality, poor, is also the wrong part of speech, but two-star voted for it so Rambo gets 1 point.
Robin Hood's definition (8. To mix up, opposite of collate) was voted for by Rambo R. Minuteman. As Robin Hood also voted for the correct definition, he recieves a total of 3 points.
A Mean Hat's definition (12. Randomize) was voted for by /dev/joe. He recieves 1 point. two-star likewise recieves 1 point, as Alfvaen voted for definition 5: To deconstitute and seperate into fractions, as with whale oil. K 2's definition (9. To remove bark from a tree) gets 1 point for Studge's vote.
/dev/joe's definition (3. To seperate groups of sequentially ordered items into another order, such as sorting them into groups of like items, or arranging them randomly.) recieved the votes of Altra the Firecat, K 2, and risE. So /dev/joe gets 3 points.
Alfvaen's definition (11. To remove the neck, as of a bird before cooking.) was voted for by Anathema and Slakko. So Alfvaen recieves 2 points.

At Thu, 15 Oct 1998 15:11:49 -0400, Slakko announced that e was too slow in providing an Ing word, and hence that the ing word was ing by default.

At Tue, 20 Oct 1998 03:42:09 -0400, Slakko announced the results of Round 2:

The round has ended prematurely because more than 1 person submitted the correct definition. However, everyone who did submit the correct definition did so in the _exact_ form given by the rules, and the rules of Fictionary prohibit using _any means_ to look up the meaning of the given word. Coincidence? Game Misconduct? You make the call.
JT, Vynd and risE all submitted:
ing: A pasture or meadow; generally one lying low, near a river.
This was the correct definition - they all get 3 points.
Alfvaen submitted:
An attempt to voluntarily handicap oneself in a game or contest so as to give other players a half-decent chance to come at least close to winning.
No-one else submitted a move in time, so all players other than these three and myself lose 1 point for performing the default action and submitting "".
