Create a document titled "History of MacroNomic" if it does not already exist. Begin this document with the following text:
"
MacroNomic is not what it used to be. Long, long ago, it was named MicroNomic, in an effort to protest against the size of the laws of other Nomics. Micronomic later became insignificant, and was replaced by MicroNomic II. MicroNomic II became great, but was threatened. In an unprecedented move in Nomic history, MicroNomic II absorbed the two Nomics known as MicroNomic and PNomic. Strengthened by these new citizens, it remnamed itself to MacroNomic, proclaiming its great strength. Then, on April 1, 1998, the first Revolutionary Party seized control, dramatically modifying the rules in an effort against the death that so many good Nomics see. They were very successful. Now, the Nomic is back to health, under the superb rule of our current revolutionary party.

The first revolutionary party was made up of our great fathers, Philo, Henry Towsner, and Ed Murphy.

Create A new section 0-1-1 titled 'Conventions' with the following text delimited by CONVENTIONS
CONVENTIONS
Rules under this section are conventions on how certain parts of the rules shall be interpreted in cases where it is confusing or ambiguous.
CONVENTIONS

Move section 0-1-0 'Spelling' to section 0-1-1-0.

Renumber section 0-1-1 to section 0-1-0.

The above was merely to get the conventions section into the right place in the rules.

Create a section 0-1-0-1 'English' with the following ENGLISH delimited text
ENGLISH
In all cases, the meaning of a term in the rules that is not specified as having a specific meaning shall have the meaning granted to it by common use of the english language and the context surrounding the use of the word.

If a term has a specific game defined meaning, that meaning should be as close as possible to the english meaning. [IE: don't choose a word like Baseball to mean the game called soccer]

In section 3-2-1 replace all occurances of CfJ with the following phrase 'Call For Judgement'. Change the title ofd Section 3-2-1 to 'Calls for Judgement' The word CFJ only has meaning to someone who is familiar with Nomics and Nomic History. I'd rather make it easier for newer players to read/nderstand the rules. The title and its appostrophe were just bad english anyway. In section 3-2-2-0, replace the phrase 'The only players who may vote on a case are those who can vote on its parent case.' with 'The only players who may vote on a penalty are those who can vote on its parent case'.

If the Secretary of Truth recieves a proposal which e thinks may cause a paradox, e must notify a member of the Revolutionary Party immediately, or if e is on the Revolutionary Party e may initiate a criminal case."

It reads "
The Secretary of Trade is MacroNomic's Customs Officer. If MacroNomic is not a member of the ITA, the Secretary of Love should request entrance unless MacroNomic's request was previously denied. The State owns all things imported from other nomics. The Secretary of Trade should reject all conditional trade offers and accept all nonconditional trade offers.

Create a new setion 0-0-0 titled Paradox Resolution with the following ANTI_PARADOX delimited text

If ever the game should reach a state that is unplayable, or a situation exists where two rules are mutually exclusive and no precedence can be determined by normal means, then any player may submit a Paradox Declaration, which is a type of Referendum stating that such a state as mentioned above exists.
As soon as such a Declaration is issued, other game play will pause until the Declaration has been resolved in accordance with this rule is such play was still possibly. The valid votes for a Paradox Declaration shall be YES or NO, and the judges shall be the Revolutionary Party at the time the Declaration was issued, or the previously extant Revolutionary Party if the game has corrupted in such a way that the makeup of the current Revolutionary party is not obvious.
Should the outcome of the vote on the Paradox Declaration, be YES, then the following step will ensue in order.
a) The Revolutionary Party (or one of it's members) will distribute a Paradox Resolution, which is a type of Referendum with valid votes of YES or NO and valid judges being the judges of the preceding Paradox Declaration.
b) If the outcome of the Paradox Resolution is a vote of YES, then the details of the Resolution shall be enacted into the Macronomic Ruleset as stated, and this proceedure shall end.
c) If the outcome was NO, then proceed to step a. Normal game play now resumes under the fixed ruleset. This rule may not be repealed or amended except by the passage of a proposal on which no AGAINST or LOYAL votes were cast. This rule claims precedence over all other rules and denies any rule the ability to claim precedence over itself.
ANTI_PARADOX
There is still one flaw in the above in that it doesn't stop the RP from unilaterally declaring a paradox and thus altering the ruleset at whim through a paradox resolution, but that is in itself, the heart of the paradox of self-amendment. As long as any way exists to change the rules, and there is no such thing as a completely inviolate rule, then there will always exsit the possibility for such unilateral usurpation of authority. My hope is that this proposal will get passed, and the RP will not abuse the potential hole here, and that eventually perhaps a better mechanism might replace (by unanimous vote) some or all of the provisions here.

Move the section entitled "Treason" to Section 3-2-3.

Set the title of section 6 to "Economics"

Change every occurrence of "Secretary of Education" in the ruleset to "Secretary of the University" and every occurrence of "Secretary of Trade" to "Secretary of Economics", retaining the Secretary of Education as the Secretary of the University, and the Secretary of Trade as the Secretary of Economics.

Insert the following EXTRA-delimited text after "and leaving the rest the same." in Section 0-1:

If a set of possible Section numbers is given for a rule, it shall be given the least Section number of that set which is not already taken by an existing rule.

The Secretary of Truth may also give titles to untitled sections by notifying all players of such a change.
