The SpivakPronoun is a gender-inclusive (some say ungendered) third-person pronoun. It has the following forms:

Using "ey" for the nominative case makes it fit the pattern of using the plural pronoun ("they", "them", "their", ...) minus the initial "th". Nominative "e" seems to be more popular in a nomic context.

The Spivak pronoun is so called because it was popularised (although not invented) by the mathematician Michael Spivak. Notably e described it in a preface to eir book on typesetting "The Joy of TeX".

The SpivakPronoun has been adopted by Agora in the writing of rules, to avoid having to refer to players as "he or she". The decision was somewhat influenced by player Blob, who claims to be a blob of mauve goo and hence to have no gender.
