NewRishonnomic was a nomic created due to a typo. InterNomic, a nomic in which the players were themselves nomics, managed player registration by having a rule that explicitly listed the player nomics; a proposal was required to add a new player. The proposal intended to add NewRishonomic as a player contained an unfortunate typo. While InterNomic wrangled over whether the phrase "New Rishonnomic" could actually refer to the nomic named "New Rishonomic", someone (it was me, I'm the guilty party -- DanKnapp) started a nomic under the typoed name. With "New Rishonnomic" now being the correct name of a well-known nomic, the InterNomic rule was inevitably interpreted to refer to this new nomic, which thus became the only nomic ever to be a player in InterNomic from the instant of its inception. Another InterNomic proposal made New Rishonomic a player, and New Rishonnomic retained its playerhood.
