LiveJournal Nomic was nothing more and nothing less than an attempt to play a game of Nomic on the LiveJournal Web site.

In our initial attempt, we began with Suber's original set of initial rules, with only one minor addition to rule 201 to enable us to take turns in order of LiveJournal username. The game reached an impasse after a short number of turns due to one player's neglect in participating, and a lack of any remedy within the rules for a player who holds up the game thus.

In a subsequent attempt, the same set of initial rules was put forth, but with one important amendment: players were not absolutely required to vote, but they were required to vote within a week's time or else they were considered to have abstained.

Unfortunately, the game with these new rules never got off the ground. Two years later, March 2005, all LiveJournalNomic pages were taken down due to lack of interest.
