Jeff Weston discovered Nomic in 1999 when coworkers at ThoughtWorks tried to start up a game using Suber's initial ruleset. Even though the game didn't take off, Jeff got the Nomic bug and was more than willing to hop in to a few Nomic games when he discovered the Nomic Bulletin Board and NomicCommunity in late 2000.
