InterNomic was an instance of a MetaNomic. The idea of a Nomic in which the players are (representatives of) other Nomics has been going around for quite some time. InterNomic was an attempt at running such a Nomic. It ran from August 1996 to mid 1998.

Sometime around 1997-05, InterNomic itself joined as a voting member, making it a recursive nomic. Further complexifying matters, the rules required that each member be represented by a liaison who had to be a registered player of the member nomic. InterNomic's liaison to InterNomic therefore had to be one of the member nomics, and the member InterNomic was selected for this role. This led to a certain degree of paralysis, as it became impossible for InterNomic to actually perform any action as a member of InterNomic.

The list of voting members was maintained in a rule (rule 215), requiring a proposal to add or remove a member. The proposal intended to replace Rishonomic as a member with its successor NewRishonomic contained a typo, but was adopted anyway, leading to the rapid creation of NewRishonnomic? in order to take advantage of its voting membership. NewRishonomic was later added successfully.

NewRishonomic nominated as its liasison the Voting Gnome, an artificial entity constructed by its rules.

Over InterNomic's history, the following nomics were members:
