Cooperative Nomic (CO-Nomic) is a new democratic, classic-style game just starting up in Sept. of 2005. Its main purpose is to put the power of the game in the hands of the players, eliminating the test of patience sometimes associatiated with waiting for the admin or scribe to update the gamestate.

CO-Nomic puts the gamestate update responsibility on the players by providing several website tools enabling "registered" Jo Public to add-to and edit the website content. Currently (9/2005) the game-owner is actively playing AND maintaining the site and will continue to assist as long as necessary. The good news is, if he is unavailable, what's stopping you?

CO-Nomic is hosted using Geeklog software with several plugins providing announcements, forums, blogs, links, files, pictures, and polls, revolving around the ruleset that is hosted in a player-editable Wiki. The rules are simple (for now), and are very organized giving new players a real chance at jumping into the game quickly and understanding what is going on. Trust me, that's not always easy.

P.S. You ever notice how all of the game announcements say they are "new" and how they "currently" have or do or whatever with no reference to a date? Gosh, some of the "new" games are so "new" that their websites don't even exist yet... or have disappeared... or... well, you get the drift. Please don't edit out my dates ;)

The game-owner, once known as Duck? in long-since deceased games, can be contacted through the website.

Mailing List (or lack thereof):

CO-Nomic is open to all players and currently requires user registration on the website with a valid email address. There are no mailing lists. Registration is currently being approved by the game-owner to keep out spam-bots, etc., since most of the website is capable of data editing by the players. Come join us.
