Proposal #1. (Illusion)
When a new player joins the game, e is given 50 moxes from the treasury.

All players are given 50 moxes, and this sentence is removed from the rule.

Status: accepted. (I think it is nice to have some starting cash.)

Proposal #2 (Mendon) New office: Imperial Treasurer
The rights, responsibilities, and duties pertaining to the Imperial Treasurer's office are as described below.

a) The Imperial Treasurer is a cabinet post (additional cabinet posts may be proposed by any player).

b) The Imperial Treasurer is elected by a simple majority vote. All current players except TIE may vote. Each current player has one vote. TIE may only vote in the case of a tie. Any current player may be elected, but must have been nominated at least 24 hours previous to the vote. The nomination will be verified by time/date stamp upon e-mail receipt by TIE.

c) The Treasurer's responsibilities:
1) The Treasurer will advise TIE in all matters concerning currencies, financial affairs of the empire, financial affairs of any current player, and the imperial treasury.
2) The Treasurer is required to advise TIE on proposals concerning the above matters and has veto power on any proposal that exclusively concerns the financial affairs of the empire or the Imperial Treasury.

d) The Treasurer's rights:
1) The Treasurer is entitled to a salary of 10 moxes per week, to be drawn from the Imperial Treasury.
2) The Treasurer enjoys a reduction of Imperial taxes by a factor of 33%.

Appendix A:
a) A cabinet post is defined as an elected advisor, who works closely with TIE, advising em in their designated area. The duties of each cabinet post will be spelled out specifically in the proposal initiating the existence of each cabinet post.

Appendix B: a) If this proposal is passed, Rule #1 will require amendment to read as follows:
There exists more than one office. One office is The Imperial Emperor. Currently, TIE is Brex. Or other amendment so that it no longer denies the existence of offices besides TIE. In case of such amendment being employed, this Appendix will be deleted.

Status: Not accepted. A nice idea, but thanks to a loophole, the treasurer could submit a rule that gave emself cash, then veto my denial of it, giving him total control over how much cash e had. sorry mendon. I'm sure that loophole was unintentional *cough cough* so just send me a "fixed" version. =)

Proposal #3 (mendon) New office: Imperial Treasurer

2) The Treasurer is required to advise TIE on proposals concerning the above matters and has the power to delay Imperial approval of any proposal that exclusively concerns the financial affairs of the empire or the Imperial Treasury for a period not longer than one week.

d) The Treasurer's rights:
1) The Treasurer is entitled to a salary of 10 moxes per week, to be drawn from the Imperial Treasury.
2) The Treasurer enjoys a reduction of Imperial taxes by a factor of 33%.

Appendix A:
a) A cabinet post is defined as an elected advisor, who works closely with TIE, advising em in their designated area. The duties of each cabinet post will be spelled out specifically in the proposal initiating the existence of each cabinet post.

Appendix B:
a) If this proposal is passed, Rule #1 will require amendment to read as follows: There exists more than one office. One office is The Imperial Emperor. Currently, TIE is Brex. Or other amendment so that it no longer denies the existence of offices besides TIE. In case of such amendment being employed, this Appendix will be deleted.

Status: accepted. It's the fixed version of that prop.... I hope =)

Proposal #4 (Mendon)

a) That all cabinet posts receive a salary. This salary is to be defined at the time of the creation of any cabinet post and may be specified using any currency available from the Imperial treasury at that time.

b) The TIE will receive a salary of 20 moxes per week.

c) Any change to part b of this proposal requires a majority vote of all current players, regardless of rank or office held.

Status: Accepted. I think salaries are a good idea. Better get an office soon Illusion!

Proposal #5 (Brex)

The treasurer must give the TIE a copy of the Treasury page, which is a listing of all things related to cash besides the amoutn each player has. Salaries, currency types, standard exchange rates between these, and any other factors must be included. The treasury page should be given in html if possible, and at least weekly, or no salary.

Status: Accepted. I submitted this rule to myself to get a point, and cause I'm anticipating the need for a page like this soon, unless I change the theme... Currently we have no treasurer, so get voting ppl...

Proposal #6 (Brex) the TIE may reword/reorder the ruleset, withcout changing the actual content, to make it more organised/easier to understand. Status: accepted. I'm begining to realise that the ruleset could get cluttered without some organisation, but, since I can't change any actual content, Your proposals will remain intact. I can only do cosmetic changes, not plastic surgery =)

Proposal #7 (illusion) There exist six different types of moxes: Diamond, Emerald, Jet, Pearl, Ruby, and Sapphire. Each type of mox is a different shape, and worth a different value.

All moxes owned by players and the treasury are Jet Moxes. All rules that refer to amounts of moxes now refer to Jet Moxes.

The treasury is given the following amounts of moxes:

Emerald Moxes - 100,000
Ruby Moxes - 25,000
Jet - 9,000 (for a total of 9,850)
Pearl - 5,000
Sapphire - 1,000
Diamond - 500
Status: accepted. hmmm, you either like playing green, cause there are lots of emerald moxes, or sapphire, csue they are muc h rarere hence more valuable. Or you could have just chosen numbers randomly. Either way, time to go set up some majors fixes to the playesr page, and grin at whoever becomes Treasurer, since the report just got that much larger...

Proposal #8

A new player may, in either eir first or second proposal, cite one other player that convinced em to join. The recruiting player gets one point, and a number of diamond moxes from the ttreasury equal to the number of players e has convinced so far (ie the first get em one mox, the fifth five, etc).

status: Start posting on those forums baby, cause this sucker is accepted! Plus, I'm making use of the new currency types... cool huh?

Proposal #9) (Illusion) There exist the following ten commodities: chemicals, equipment, food, gems, livestock, metal, minerals, ore, technology, and wood. Each commodity is measured in units. There may be unlimited amounts of each commodity, but they may only be created and owned as stated in the rules.

Status: accepted, but this is getting silly. ten commodities and six currencies. shudder. I'm gonna go change the theme and the ruleset now, and that is all for tonite.

I got a proposal from Mendon about direct exchange rates, and one from Joshua for resources. There wasn't much wrong, but I liked Kyvy's business/bank rule better.

There have been two more props, neither of which I really liked. ONe of them benifited one player only, and the other sought to make diamond moxes tradable. Better luck next time, you know who you are ;-)
