Proposal 267 - Credit where Credit is due [Enactment]

A Player can give any other Player a positive number of Kudos by announcing
their intention on the list.  The giving Player must state the number of
Kudos being given, and the reason for the gift.  Provided this gift does not
reduce the giving Player to a negative number of Kudos, the Speaker will
include this gift in the Kudos updates of the Voting Results Document
published after the gift was announced.

{Comment: Not that there's a particular reason for giving Kudos, other
than the standard 'respect earned' reason.}

Proposal 268 - We Are Not Men, We Are Veto [Enactment]

The Speaker can Veto any Proposal that e receives before distribution.
This Proposal must be mailed to the list, along with the name of the
Player who submitted the Proposal and a reason for this Veto.  A
Proposal being Vetoed means that it is not voted on and cannot become
a part of the Rules.  A Point of Order may be raised (in the usual way)
if a Player feels that the Speaker's reason was not valid.

Proposal 269 - Extreme Measures [Amendment]

In Rule 1.7.7 (Walk The Walk) add the following to the list of valid
circumstances when the action may be performed:
    
- to travel between the following stations: Wimbledon (DS) and South Wimbledon
(NT); Ruislip (MP) and West Ruislip (CN); Sudbury Town (PD) and Wembley Central
(BL); Northwick Park (MP) and Kenton (BL)

{Comment: they're all stations that are pretty close to each other in 'real'
life. I can see the objection to this proposal -- ie makes token running
easier -- but I think the benefits outweigh this}

Proposal 270 - If Mohammed Won't Come To The Mountain... [Amendment]

In Rule 1.5.4 (Go With The Flow) amend the definition of Line Segment to read
as follows:

"Line Segment:   a) in the context of a Move, the stretch of line between two
Move Nodes; b) outside the context of a Move, any user-defined section of a
single line described by the first and last station of the section and its Line
Code, e.g. Whitechapel to Barking (HC). Stations on a Line Segment form a part
of that Line Segment. If a Line Segment has more than one possible Line Code,
its Line Code is that specified by the user."

Proposal 271 - File Under Boringly Named Proposals (Amendment)

In Rule 1.16.1 (Crimes and Misdemeanours) amend the paragraph starting "After a
Turn has been buzzed..." to read as follows:

"After a Move has been Buzzed, the Player who made the Dubious Move may either
Concede or Appeal. E must make eir appeal within 36 hours of the challenge
being made, or the Move shall be automatically declared illegal."

{Comment: what if a Player made an illegal Move just before sodding off to be a
hermit in Nepal...... NB note use of 'Move' rather than 'Turn'}

Proposal 272 - Rolling the Batteries and Trying Again [Enactment]

Upon Enactment of this Rule, Rule 0.2.1 (Mutability) shall be Repealed,
Rule 0.4.1 (Proposal Types) shall have references to Transmutation removed,
and all Rules shall be amended to have their Mutable/Immutable
classifications removed.

This Rule will then repeal itself.

Proposal 273 - Token Gift [Enactment]

Upon Enactment of this Rule, each Player shall receive two Black Tokens, two
Red Tokens and two Bronze Tokens. This Rule shall then repeal itself.

  is now, when we begun the new Games...
}

Proposal 274 - I Said It Again! And Again! [Other, Multiple]

1. Shh [Repeal]

Repeal Rule 0.10.10 (Word of the Week)

2. Shh, I say [Amendment]

Remove the Word of the Week reward from Rule 0.9.1 (Kudos).

3. And Stop Looking So Smug [Enactment]

Upon Enactment of this Rule:-

    dave shall lose 45 Kudos.
    Kevan shall lose 67 Kudos.
    miKi shall lose 15 Kudos.
    Paul shall lose 9 Kudos.

This Rule shall then repeal itself.

  Comments:

  It's broken, and people are imaginative and enthusiastic enough not
  to need carrots any more. It also seems fair to make the people who
  got huge amounts of Kudos from the broken Rule to have to pay back
  all but five each, I think.
