The text on the clue fragment that I auctioned was:
A gemlike color, royal hue.
A creature, mythic, flies to you.
With these two words, the cyphers clear.
As long as you know I used vigenere.
Not only once each, that's too tame
Nor smashed together, that's too lame.
With this you should have enough,
If you don't.... Well, life is rough.
The map was quadruple vigenere encoded twice each with the two keywords pointed at above, 'amethyst' and 'dragon'.
