ackanomic Digest Tuesday, March 30 1999 Volume: 04 Issue: 086 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Tom Walmsley Subject: Acka: New Webpage Date: Tue, 30 Mar 1999 17:22:47 -0500 (EST) It's not an earth-shatteringly important one or anything but it is a new acka-related webpage non-the-less. I've tabulated the results to the first two rounds of the current game of grab a donkey and put them up at http://website.lineone.net/~t.walmsley/gad.html should anyone be interested. Laa Laa, Wrangler, former (and possibly current but I doubt it :-)) assistant web harfer. -- Tom "Garbed in Gingham" Walmsley. Since I have been scholar, the Machine has gone *ping* 5 times. /dev/joe Scholar of *ping* ------------------------------ From: Towsner Subject: Acka: CFJ 721 (TRUE) Date: Tue, 30 Mar 1999 22:06:09 -0500 (EST) Note for appropriate harfers: the cycle ends when this becomes unappealable. Call for Judgement 721 - March 29, 1999 Subject: Who's bright idea was this one? Initiator: LaaLaa Judge: ThinMan Judgement: TRUE Statement: Laa Laa has an Unclaimed Winning Condition by Rule 8675-5309 Initiator's Reasoning: I don't think this really needs much reasoning. Mu names in the past have included Celia, Rambo R Minuteman, NY E NJ, Brie Clump, etc. which together with Laa Laa makes 5 already, and there have been several more as documented on the registrars pages. Judge's Reasoning: I judge that "8675-5309" in the statement of this CFJ is an unambiguous misspelling of "867-5309," and that "Ackanmoic name" in rule 867-5309 is an unambiguous misspelling of "Ackanomic name." By rule 1-2, therefore, the former number and word mean the same as the latter in this context. Laa Laa has indeed had more than 5 different Ackanomic names (8 to be precise, including "Jenny" but not "867-5309"), thus satisfying the condition of rule 867-5309. I find no record of Laa Laa (or anyone else) holding any goose cards. By rules 8 and 867-5309, then, this CFJ's statement is TRUE. -- -Henry Towsner Thank heavens, the sun has gone in, and I don't have to go out and enjoy it. -Logan Pearsall Smith ------------------------------ From: "Bryan Federico" Subject: Re: Acka: Proposal 4124 accepted Date: Tue, 30 Mar 1999 22:31:45 -0500 (EST) I was pretty sure I returned from vacation like 2 weeks ago but just in case i didn't here it is I return from vacation. >>On Tue, 30 Mar 1999, Bryan Federico wrote: > >:How come Im not listed even as an abstainer? > >You don't appear to be a player of ackanomic.
