acka-research Digest Saturday, March 06 1999 Volume: 04 Issue: 050 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Tom Walmsley Subject: Acka: So how do I vote again? Date: Sat, 06 Mar 1999 15:22:45 -0500 (EST) I don't suppose anyone would care to enlighten me as to how the bot works wrt the new voting system would tey? I'm sure it's been said before but I know I for one don't want to go looking for it. It's just that I've finally got motivated to vote again and realised all I know how to do is botes of +100, -100 and 0. Instead of N, type -100 or -60, etc. In otherwords, just type the integer you would like to vote in place of a letter. -- -Henry Towsner Thank heavens, the sun has gone in, and I don't have to go out and enjoy it. -Logan Pearsall Smith ------------------------------ Subject: Re: Acka: So how do I vote again? Just substitute the number you want to vote in place of the Y, N, or B. For instance, if I really didn't like proposals 9901-9903 and was mildly in favor of 9904 I might tell the bot: #vote 9901 -200 -200 -200 60 Be sure to separate all your votes in one #vote command with spaces, as always, and be sure to put space between the first vote and the proposal number. /dev/joe ------------------------------ From: JT Subject: Re: Acka: Proposal 4118 Date: Sat, 06 Mar 1999 23:19:51 -0500 (EST) On Sat, 6 Mar 1999 ackabot@ackanomic.org wrote: >{{[ Also, this reinstates the no-scoring-for-boring-props to the rules. >I think it is actually still there, and has just been harfed incorrectly; >P4053 specified the entire text of this section, and P4062 changed the >first sentence, and nothing touched it since then, but the second sentence >does not appear in the rules on the web. ]}} You are correct that this sentance is still in there and it did in fact get misharfed by myself. I had already fixed this error in my local copy of the rules, but hadn't put that copy up onto www.ackanomic.org yet. --JT -- [-------------------------------------------------------------------------] [ Practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty. ] [ It's hard to seize the day when you must first grapple with the morning ] [-------------------------------------------------------------------------] ------------------------------ End of acka-research Digest V4 #50 **********************************
