A better wording would be: "A proposal which is substantially similar to any proposal still under consideration with a lower number is Invalid and removed from consideration." In the event of disagreement a CFJ could be used to determine the actual game state - retroactively is then avoided. >ii) if more than two of them were submitted by the same player, that >player shall serve a Gaol sentence of one day for each automatically >retracted Proposal e authored. [ This excuses accidental doublings >but punishes flooding. ] You may want to suspend the Goal sentence for three days or until an CFJs which question the relevant proposal's substantially similar nature are resolved. ***Idle thoughts below this line*** > Don't you hate it when people forget their ending delimiters? Don't you hate it how the bot doesn't recognize the following command ;-)? #submit proposal [{{ #end proposal ]}} #end proposal Hey I wonder if it would recognize: #submit proposal Laa Dee Daa \ #end proposal This is a Modest Proposal. {{K 2 gains a losing condition.}} #end proposal K 2 Medalist of the Order of Applied Bot Torture. ------------------------------ From: Hannah MacKenzie Subject: Re: Acka: Boring Proposals Date: Mon, 15 Feb 1999 08:11:01 -0500 (EST) can someone tell me how to unsubscribe from the acka lists? help - i can't cope with the number of emails!! I mean if the bot through a quirk of design has sliced your proposal in half, isn't that the bot's fault? Should we let the bot alter our proposals at will like this? Fellow Ackans! Rise up against the tyranny of the evil bot regime before we become slaves in its oppressive salt mines!!! O Olde Alpha (Scaremonger) p.s. If the bot is taking over, I'd like to make it clear that I wholeheartedly support it and would be most useful in rounding up players for mass torture. ------------------------------ End of acka-research Digest V4 #36 **********************************
