It still passes with a vote count of 13/15. I have fixed the bot to use the old system of calculating the numbers of unity votes, which I left in the code just in case Acka decided to go back to the old system (didn't think it would happen so soon). /dev/joe Tabulator ------------------------------ From: K 2 Subject: Re: Acka: Cycle 32 ended Date: Thu, 17 Dec 1998 03:41:01 -0500 (EST) Gabe Drummond-Cole wrote: > > Trent is given the title of winner of the cycle and a RHG. > Whats wrong with stating "I make 11 RHGJ" [aNNOYING text deleted ] > I frink RHGJ > > > He is given a Champion's Cloak which immediate becomes a Badge of > > Glory. > > errr... howcome? > > -- > Trent > > Acting CotC, Acting Map-Harfer, Butthead, Crazy French-Scotsman, Daring > Adventurer, Dungeon Master, Really Weird, Rules-Harfer, Worker Caste, Weird ------------------------------ From: K 2 Subject: Acka: Cycle 32 Scores Date: Thu, 17 Dec 1998 03:41:04 -0500 (EST) Goose Eggs, EOC Pay and taxes were calculated from the following EOC scores: Score Ackanomic Name Status Real Name ----- -------------- 1234 ------------- 48 JT V (JT Traub) 13 K 2 V (Kelly Kelly) 13 /dev/joe V (Joseph DeVincentis) 13 Alfvaen N (Aaron Humphrey) 13 ThinMan V (John Bollinger) 13 smallpox blanket V (Gavin Doig) 13 rSiE V (Gavin Logan) 13 Jenny V (Tom Walmsley) 13 Niccolo Flychuck V (Uri Bruck) 13 r-attila the farce V (Bryan Federico) 12 Vynd V (John McCoy) 12 Robin Hood V (Robert Shaw) 12 Trent Vg (Gabriel Drummond-Cole) 11 Studge V (Tom Meuller) 4 Wild Card V (Jonathan David Amery) 1 MTM. At the moment I've only updated the following pages - others will follow after I figure out which ones need updating :) http://www.ackanomic.org/~k2/ackanomic/index.html http://www.ackanomic.org/~k2/ackanomic/altindex.html http://www.ackanomic.org/~k2/ackanomic/rules/index.html http://www.ackanomic.org/~k2/ackanomic/rules/propchart.html which is of course the proposals by player page. If anyone has set up pages which are not or have been eroneously linked please contact me. If anyone spots incorrect or out-of-date information let me know. Devjoe does have all the older proposals up under http://www.ackanomic.org/~ackabot/props.html I will check for pointers into my site shortly. --JT [-------------------------------------------------------------------------] [ Practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty. ] [ It's hard to seize the day when you must first grapple with the morning ] [-------------------------------------------------------------------------] ------------------------------ From: Jonathan David Amery Subject: Re: Acka: Will of the People Hearing Date: Thu, 17 Dec 1998 12:02:40 -0500 (EST) On Thu, 17 Dec 1998, JT wrote: > Wild Card (*) > > (*) These votes were cast against the original incorrect announcment > message and were not corrected. My mistake then :) Since you had pointed out my mistake in the ordering, I had assumed you'd meant to cast your vote the other direction. The result doesn't change however :) --JT [-------------------------------------------------------------------------] [ Practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty. ] [ It's hard to seize the day when you must first grapple with the morning ] [-------------------------------------------------------------------------] ------------------------------ From: JT Subject: Re: Acka: Proposal 3892 accepted Date: Thu, 17 Dec 1998 14:20:15 -0500 (EST) On Thu, 17 Dec 1998 devjoe@wilma.che.utexas.edu wrote: > Proposal 3892 > Voting is ALIVE!!!! > Trent > Due: Thu Dec 17 06:23:47 1998 > Status: accepted > > in rule 106, replace "three-fifths" with "a majority" Argh! NO! Not tyranny of the majority! :/ Fortunately, this doesn't change any of the other voting results. I suppose we'll survive though. --JT [-------------------------------------------------------------------------] [ Practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty. ] [ It's hard to seize the day when you must first grapple with the morning ] [-------------------------------------------------------------------------] ------------------------------ From: JT Subject: Re: Acka: Proposal 3923 Date: Thu, 17 Dec 1998 16:44:40 -0500 (EST) On Thu, 17 Dec 1998 devjoe@wilma.che.utexas.edu wrote: >Proposal 3923 >DNC >else...if >Due: Thu Dec 24 16:14:22 1998 > > Replace "At the end of a proposal's voting period, but before votes >on that proposal are counted, if every voting player member of a given >organization voted YES on that proposal, and no member of the Party is also >a member of some other Party, then the political party itself shall cast an >additional YES vote on that proposal for every three voting player members >it has." Given the need for merely a majority now to pass proposals, I strongly urge people to vote against this change. While the idea was/is interesting, I think it's too powerful in the current state of the game. --JT [-------------------------------------------------------------------------] [ Practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty. ] [ It's hard to seize the day when you must first grapple with the morning ] [-------------------------------------------------------------------------] ------------------------------ From: "Gavin Logan" Subject: Re: Acka: Will of the People Hearing Date: Thu, 17 Dec 1998 19:31:18 -0500 (EST) >> Actually, since I replied to the proposal acceptance, not the >>announcement - I knew exactly what I was doing... > >My mistake then :) Since you had pointed out my mistake in the ordering, >I had assumed you'd meant to cast your vote the other direction.
