Vacationing players may not be selected to perform any task.
Therefore it can't be his turn.

I finally looked this up in the rules to see what is supposed to happen now,
when the Brainiac fails to post the results:

5d) Default: The Scorekeeper or Acting Scorekeeper becomes acting Brainiac
to adjudicate step 5. If there is no such officer, the game ends with no
  winner and no payoff.

Anyway, here's what happened so far this round:

AtP posted the following list of definitions with a note that one player
submitted a correct definition, and "some people submitted duplicate
definitions" which accompanies the multiple failures-to-submit-definitions
that occurred in this round.

1. A linguistic paradox
2. " "
3. Use of a word to govern two or more words though appropriate to only one.
4. A literary technique in which a series of words are joined together by
hyphens.
5. A skin complaint involving a blotchy rash.

Within the 3 day limit, JT, 867-5309, and Vynd and Slakko all voted for
definition 3.

It should come as no surprise that definition 3 is the correct definition.
I submitted a correct definition.

The scoring for the round should be that I score 4 gamepoints, the 4
bluffers who voted for definition 3 receive 2 points each, Attila the Pun
loses one point for not posting the results on time, each player besides
these 6 (myself, AtP, and the 4 bluffers who voted) loses 1 point for not
voting, and each player besides AtP, myself, and those who submitted
definitions 1, 4, and 5. It is apparently the scorekeeper's duty to
determine who did what as far as these 1 point penalties goes.

The scoring at the end of Vynd's turn as brainiac was:

Slakko: 4
rufus: 1
JT: 18
TGW/MTM: 2
867-5309: 13
Vynd: 6
else...if: 4
AtP: -3
/dev/joe: 3

After this, else...if lost 4 points for not posting the list of definitions
in time, then left the game, and rufus left the game. Thus only
Mr Tambourine Man failed to vote. This will make the new scores:

Slakko: 4+2 = 6
JT: 18+2 = 20
TGW/MTM: 2-1 = 1
867-5309: 13+2 = 15
Vynd: 6+2 = 8
AtP: -3-1 = -4
/dev/joe: 3+4 = 7

except that two players who failed to submit definitions also lose a point
each (unless through some odd coincidence, only one player failed to submit
a definition and two players submitted one of the other definitions in the
list, in which case only one player loses an additional point).

Once the scorekeeper finishes adjudicating this round by determining which
players lost points for not submitting definitions, it will be my turn as
Brainiac.

Good thing somebody looked this up! I was totally unaware.

So it seems what is necessary is for me to get information on who among
the Bluffers sent in which definition, or lack thereof. It'd be easiest
to get this from the erstwhile Brainiac, but any other information would
be appreciated. All we really need to know is who failed to submit a
definition, as far as points are concerned.

Anyone for starting a fresh YORL? The other one seems kinda
moribund.
