Sorry, you don't have a 3 of hearts because you already played it
2 tricks ago. I'll figure out what effect on the score (if any) this
has later, but in any case it is still Goldenmean's lead until he plays a
card he actually has in his hand. Here is the summary so far this round,
so you can double-check your hands.

I seem not to have recorded that round for some reason, sorry about that.
I'll lead my 6 of hearts.

I link "duck" and "round" with "sitting."

A "sitting duck" is an easy target.
One can be "sitting 'round" with no particular purpose.

This, like Slakko's, is also rather tenuous; we'll see this round how
lenient our Referee is.

Hmm, quite a difficult decision this time. Duck shoot and sitting duck are
both perfectly fine. The links to round are, however, a bit more tenuous. In
the end I think I'm going to accept Slakko's play (shoot) because shoot and
round are related to a single topic (similar to school and pupil given in the
rule, it may be in [square brackets] but it probably has some force as game
custom) but not Hubert's play (sitting) on the grounds that sitting round is
not really a phrase; sitting around is and is normally pronounced sitting
'round but I don't think that qualifies it. So the result of this round is
that Slakko gains two points making the points totals up to:

Slakko 5
/dev/joe 3
Hubert 7

It is Hubert's turn as linker for round six and e must link from duck.

Of course having thought about it I know that /dev/joe probably had the
chosen link word of down:

round down
duck down.

I am linking duck to step with down.

duck down: parts of a duck used in blankets
step down: to voluntarily leave a position, e.g. an office.

Actually I think my score is only 4, not 5.

I scored no points in Round 1, 2 points in round 2, no points in round 3,
no points in round 4, 2 points in round 5.

Yours,
Slakko

I am linking duck to step with goose. Duck and goose are both birds,
and goose step is a funny way to walk.

Actually, I was thinking of "game" -- a round is part of a game (for
instance, the round we were just playing), and a duck is the kind of
"game" hunters go after.
