Yes, except that I believe that he did not leave during the last turn. He
left during the period of time after the end of last turn and the beginning
of this one, which was a really long time. As a result, I will uninfect
Guy's cells at the end of this turn, just before the moves are evaluated,
if no one takes over for him in that time.

Can anyone confirm the date of Guy Fawkes' retirement from Acka?

Guy Fawkes left on the 24th of September.

Subject: Acka: Guy Fawkes's resignation

Here is Guy Fawkes's resignation at 14:13 CDT September 24th.
Round 14 began with Balsamic Dragon's post of the results of round 13
at Mon, 22 Sep 1997 13:49:42 -0400, so Guy Fawkes did in fact resign
during round 14.

When I wrote this rule I didn't consider the possibility of a player
leaving in the time between the end of a round and the posting of the
results of the round. It should work that Guy's virus would be removed
now, even if he left in the time between the end of round 14 and the
posting of its results; the idea is to remove those viruses as soon
as possible while still allowing a full 3 days, at least, for another
player to take over the position.

On the other hand, while developing this part of the rules I considered
the possibility of leaving such viruses behind, turning them into a sort
of non-player virus, which follows the usual rules, though there is no
longer a player who can manipulate that virus with moves.

D'oh. That the game not die, here were the results:
Red Barn -- N/A
Slakko -- 6
Fortunato -- 4
Vynd -- 3
Alfvaen -- 5

  Enjoy.
