I had thought that IB's changes would make things pretty hard.
I'm all in favor of a bit more opportunity for market growth, so
I also specify a P-setting of 0.4 and an N-setting of 0.8.

I would (at least for the summer) so that we don't have a complete
market crash if things keep moving so slowly want to consider possibly
lowering the D-setting and raising the A-setting.

What about the commission?
105% of the Stock Value at the time was 1.05*(33.6) = 35.28
The smallest integer greater than or equal to this is 36.
So each stock cost Alfvaen and IdiotBoy A$36.

The Otmza Card Shield auction held starting 8 Jun 1998 only had one valid
bid in time.

JT gets one card for A$10.
I get the other card for A$0 (by default).

Yours,

I'd be willing to consider a change to A and D, but remember that
activity is based on the previous day. Maybe dropping the A-setting to
0.1...(not that that's not a formal suggestion yet)

Sorry, I meant the stock value. I usually leave the commisions up
to K2. But don't they pay 5*35.28 rounded up? I though rounding was done
at the end of the whole purchase.

My amendments which introduced commission made the rounding of purchase
price _explicit_. The price anyone pays for each stock is forced to be an
integer, without any other rule needing to impose rounding.

FWIW, I was considering making the A setting negative.

No. There's a risk that the number of actions on a given day +
A-setting could be 0.

Stock Market News:

Assuming no futher announcements today, the following information will take
affect tomorrow:

	Current Value: 15.5
	Positivity Value: 0.0
	Activity Value: 15.5

	Change Today: -17.1
Change in Positivity: -20.1 (-21.2, PV may not go below 0)
	Change in Activity: +3.0
	Percent Change: -53.3%
	Activities Today: 2

	P-Setting: 0.1 (changed today)
	N-Setting: 0.05 (changed today)
	A-Setting: 0.2
	D-Setting: 0.125

Market News:
The market suffered a catastrophic collapse today as a surprisingly
negative voting pattern combined with new settings designed to make the
market more volatile resulted in a reduction of the positivity value to
below 0. The market simultaneously suffered its largest collapse ever and
fell to its lowest point ever.

Reserve News:
The AREB, already holding a meeting to discuss long term strategy
for the next two or three months, has another problem to deal with. The
total obliteration of the positivity value has added a new dimension to the
discussions. Reserve Chair else promises immediate reforms.

I go to the top floor of the Ackan Reserve's building.

Alright, we have a problem. I suggest we set the P-setting to 0.1
and the N-setting to 0.05. Since IB already suggested this, it happens.

And, since this seems as good an opportunity as any...I destroy the
Vegetarian Lasagne for A$. I destroy the Poll 4 Win, the Small off-duty
Czechoslovakian traffic Warden 33, It is Green, and 100 Ackadollars for A$.
This gives me a total of A$1570. I use this to buy 92 stocks. I apologize
profusely to all for this wanton destruction of trinkets (though I did save
my favorites)
